An innovative
community art project designed to increase awareness of life affirming
activities in an effort to promote
wellness.
Our days are filled with tons of
choices. It's exciting and fast paced at times. We find ourselves engaged in
so many different activities of which some we are conscious and others out
of habit or reaction - so we don't always connect consciously to what we
could call 'life affirming activities'.
We all have access to what we sense are healthy activities. In reviewing our
thoughts and the things we do we might find that some of these actions
appear to energize, renew and inspire us. Being aware of and sharing
these life affirming activities can be uplifting, encouraging and
educational for ourselves and others - especially if deep down we
sense that they REALLY ARE healthy, positive and constructive activities.
Through a short questionnaire and colorful artwork we'll produce unique
mosaics that embrace our community and celebrate activities that
collectively provide wellness to our community.
By answering the simple question below you can add value to this project. It
takes just a few minutes to provide your 'life affirming activities'
from which schools and organizations will create colorful drawings.
Those images will be united into special mosaics. Up close we'll see each
drawing; from a distance they will all combine to form a single mosaic
image!An exhibition featuring mosaic
prints, note cards and other products will be made available with a portion
of the proceeds to support the education efforts of
Drop In Nation.
