"Faces for Parkinson's
Disease" is a community art mosaic print of a tulip to support the
Parkinson's Association of WNY!
The story of the Parkinson
tulip began in 1980 in the Netherlands when J.W.S.Van der Wereld, a Dutch horticulturalist who had PD, gave the name
"Dr. James Parkinson" to the red and white tulip he had developed.
Today, tulips are known as a symbol of hope for people with
Parkinson's Disease.
The tulip mosaic print and note card pack, made from peoples drawn
self portraits, is being sold as a fundraiser to support the
Parkinson's Association of WNY.
Thank you
to all who participated! Prints and note cards now available!
