Welcome to the Faces of Wellness- Olmsted 64 Community Art Mosaic Project! During January 2018, students, teachers and staff are invited to unite and participate by coloring their self-portraits and a simple drawing representing their favorite school subjects, healthy activities or special skill. All drawings will be united with others to make a Community Art Mosaic for permanent display at Olmsted 64.
What is a Community Art Mosaic? Up close you see all the beautiful, creative, colorful faces and art squares- from a distance they all combine to make one overall image! What will it be? We haven’t decided yet.
Parents – Look for the official drawing form in January, complete the required top portion with your participant’s first name, last name, parental email address and permission signature. Then, have your child bring the signed form back to class so that all students can participate together in school!
In February the drawings will be processed. In March a 3 x 4 foot mosaic, ready to hang on the wall, will be delivered to Olmsted 64! Plus, all drawings will be united in an E-gallery so friends and family can search for, view and celebrate the Olmsted 64 team.
Teachers and Staff- You are invited and encouraged to participate too! Remember when we were kids? This is a chance to relax, let go, have fun and be creative. It doesn’t matter how well you draw- it’s about participation, not perfection. Let’s aim for 100% participation and unite the Olmsted 64 educational team!
